Treatment for Worms
Worms are parasitic organisms which require a host to survive. Worms could infect both humans and animals and in many cases could also spread from one to the other. Worms feed from the feed of their host and sometimes their blood. Common worm infection could lead to a lot of serious illness and disease. A lot of people around the world are infected with one kind of intestinal worm infection. The sad part is that many ignore it or underplay its significance. The good news however is that worm infection can be treated successfully most times.
Worms enter the body through a number of means. Contaminated food is a chief source as well as through the skin and other opening in the body. Worm larvae could penetrate the skin and infest the intestine. When this happens they begin to multiply in hundreds and sometimes in thousands. The eggs are passed out through the anus and from there they spread to still more host.
Common symptoms on worm intestinal infection include loss of weight, general weakness which is mainly caused by the loss of nutrients to the unwanted parasites. Other symptoms include diarrhea, distended or pot belly, constipation and pain in the abdomen both lower and upper. Nausea, delay of puberty or mental development and stunted growth are all other symptoms of worm infection. In animals, the symptoms are mainly diarrhea, loss of weight and bad or poor hair coat.

There are more specific medications that are aimed in curing particular worm infections.
